Description
Supercast SW700R is a blended polymer hydrophilic waterstop. The swelling action is the result of contact between water and hydrophilic groups in the polymers molecular structure. These hydrophilic groups display good consistency in swell rate during repeated wet/dry cycling. Expansion of Supercast SW700R creates a positive pressure against the faces of the concrete joints, thus preventing water passing through the construction joints. Design criteria
Supercast SW700R should be used to prevent the passage of water through construction joints in both in-situ and between precast concrete. Supercast SW700R increases in volume upto 700%. Swelling of Supercast SW700R in fresh concrete is minimal and most of the volume swell takes place after three initial hardening of the concrete has taken place. Application instructions
Supercast SW700R may be positioned by bonding with the appropriate Supercast CR Adhesive. The waterstop may be installed either into a groove cast in the concrete. It is recommended that the waterstop be fixed using both Supercast CR Adhesive in addition to a mechanical fixing method, in case of lose groove applied. Limitations
Supercast SW700R should not be used for expansion joints or those subject to significant repetitive movements.
Supercast SW700R should not be installed with less than 50 mm of concrete cover to ensure that the pressure arising from the swelling action is accommodated.
Supercast SW700R should not be used in locations, which allow free unrestrained swelling. Estimating

Should be stored in accordance with the Highly | Supercast SW700R waterstop should be positioned to ensure that a minimum of 50 mm cover of concrete is present to accommodate pressure developed during the swelling process. It is recommended that strip be fixed by both adhesive and mechanical means to ensure maximum contact with the joint faces and to avoid displacement when installing. ![]()

Water swellable - Blended Polymer - hydrophilic waterstop shall be made from a preformed elastomeric rod, which can integrate into existing waterstop networks. The waterstop shall have an unrestrained volumetric expansion of not more than 700%. It shall not deteriorate under prolonged wet/dry cycling. Supercast SW700R: There are no known health hazards associated with Supercast SW700R in normal use. Supercast CR Adhesives: Highly flammable liquids. Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking. Avoid contact with skin and inhalation of vapours. Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection. Use only in well ventilated areas. Fire Supercast CR Adhesives are highly flammable. Do not expose to naked flames of other sources of ignition - No smoking. Containers should be tightly sealed when not in use.
